Recensione: FLYING LOTUS – Flamagra

Recensione: FLYING LOTUS – Flamagra

Che Fire is coming ….

Capolavoro!

Quotes:

Oh, where’d you get the thing from? (Thief and beggar)
Uh, get it off me (Leash and chain)
Ooh, they did you wrong (Oh, yes they did)
Look at your heart broke (What’s in your pocket?)
You don’t need it more than me, though (You a king, though)
Come off your gold chain
What’s in your pocket? (Profit and wage)
Come off that lil’ tennis bracelet (Increase the pay)
I’m takin’ debit cards (Thief and beggar)
Yeah, get it off me (Leash and chain)

Yes, lawd
Someone hit me the other day for a rendezvous
“Long time no see” was the time she used
Bright eyes like the lights at the carnival
Held convos, but never held accountable
How’s your Mama Duke? How ya papa doin’?
Oh, me? I been freer than the sample food
But like a sample loop, around and ‘round I move
Until it’s clear, then I’m back to baggin’ bags of loot
Spent years tryna steer both hands on you
‘Til I finally understood that I was spinnin’ my hoop
Rather spinnin’ my wheels, gettin’ up in my years
But still I feel like a kid when I’m fuckin’ with you
Young nigga gotta live, that’s the motto they use
But all them niggas still live in they mama’s backroom
So I’m back in my stu’, lookin’ up at the stars
When they reminisce over you, my God
(More)

Behind your back, not exactly like you think
No, some things, there are things that I can see
(But I know something that they don’t know)
I know something that they don’t know, that I can see
I know something that they don’t know, and I can see it
I know something that they don’t know, and I can see it

Burning up the charts (Blown up)
Blow down me, baby (Blow dry me, baby)
Want me to be cool, but I’m not (Light)
But the fire won’t stop burning

Now help yourself (Now help yourself)
I know something that they don’t know
Better watch your step
I know something that they don’t know

Ooh, burning down the house (Fire)
Call your firemen (Burning)
They’ll all be choking from all the smoke
The fire won’t stop burning

Now collect yourself
I know something that they don’t know
I know something that they don’t know, say
I know something that they don’t know, and I can see it

(Burning Down The House)

The yellow phone on the wall started ringing. Tommy jumped, then ran across the kitchen and picked up the receiver. “Hello?” he said, a little out of breath. Tommy’s father was downstairs in the basement wood shop cutting a piece of clear pine on the table saw. The sound of the saw was screechingly loud, and a big plume of agitated sawdust was forming in the air. Tommy’s mother was outside on the front lawn tending to a small flower garden. She was visibly upset about her flowers’ condition. She was observing a black film on the stems and leaves, then trying to wipe this black substance away while running hose water on it, but it was too greasy, and the water wasn’t washing it away. The front door opened and Tommy appeared behind his mother. “Mom, there’s a phone call for you.” Tommy’s mom stood up and turned, the garden hose in her right hand shooting water. “Who is it?” she asked. “I don’t know. It’s a man. He said you would know what it’s about.” Tommy’s mom stood frozen for a moment, and Tommy saw lines of worry racing across her face. Something else scrambled into Tommy’s awareness. He saw that the sky was noticeably darker than usual, and he saw a huge, red-orange glow moving on the horizon. Just then, a man appeared running frantically in the street, the man yelling, “Fire is coming! Fire is coming! Fire is coming! Fire is coming! Fire is coming! Fire is coming!”

There’s a fire burning in the streets
Everybody move their feet
Fire burning in the streets
Everybody move your feet
Fire burning in the streets
Everybody move their feet
Fire burning in the streets
Everybody move your feet
Fire burning in the streets
Everybody move their feet
Fire burning in the streets
Everybody move their feet
