ROGER WATERS esce “Comfortably Numb 2022” [Guarda il visual della nuova versione]

Una nuova versione di Comfortably Numb 2022 è stata pubblicata da Roger Waters.

Il brano, un classico dei Pink Floyd senza tempo contenuto in The Wall, è una rielaborazione registrata in America durante il “This Is Not A Drill’ tour di Waters.

Il brano è stato inciso con Gus Seyffert – basso, synth, percussioni, voce; Joey Waronker – batteria; Dave Kilminster – voce; Jonathan Wilson – harmonium, synth, chitarra e voce; Jon Carin – synth, voce; Shanay Johnson – voce; Amanda Belair – voce; Robert Walter – organo/pianoforte; Nigel Godrich – archi, amplificatore.

Il brano, della durata di poco meno di nove minuti, aprirà il suo nuovo tour che prenderà il via nel 2023 e toccherà anche l’Italia.

Before lockdown I had been working on a demo of a new version of ‘Comfortably Numb’ as an opener to our new show “This Is Not A Drill”. I pitched it a whole step down, in A Minor, to make it darker and arranged it with no solos, except over the outro, where there is a heartrendingly beautiful vocal solo from one of our new sisters Shanay Johnson.
It’s intended as a wakeup call, and a bridge towards a kinder future with more talking to strangers, either in “The Bar” or just “Passing in the Street” and less slaughter “In Some Foreign Field.”
